Some stories start with a dream.
Ours began with a friendship.

In the spring of 2012, two best friends—Mary and Anne—unlocked a tiny white storefront on a quiet street in Charleston, South Carolina. With a few handmade racks, a shared eye for timeless, feminine style, and more heart than budget, we opened the doors to what would become Mary & Anne Charleston.

What began as a neighborhood boutique soon grew into something much more. Over the years, our space has become a place where women of every age come to feel seen, comfortable, and beautiful—just as they are.

How we choose

We work with makers who share our standards, hand-selecting each piece for fit, fabric, and longevity. If it isn’t comfortable, versatile, and made to last, it doesn’t make the rack. We want you to reach for our pieces season after season and feel your best every time.

Today

More than a decade later, that same spirit still lives in every detail—from the softness of the fabrics to the way we greet each guest. A lot has changed since 2012, but our heart hasn’t: friendship, craftsmanship, and women supporting women.
